Barangay Viga

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Viga is one of the administrative divisions of Agno in Pangasinan, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Viga had a population of 1,315. This made it the 10th largest of 17 barangays in Agno by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Viga accounted for approximately 4.39% of the total population of Agno, which stood at 29,947 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Viga moving from 968 residents to 1,315 residents, an intercensal change of +35.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Viga as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Agno is a municipality comprising 17 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Viga, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
