Barangay Tipacla

Barangay Tipacla is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Ajuy, located in the province of Iloilo, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Tipacla had a population of 2,983. This made it the 6th largest of 34 barangays in Ajuy by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tipacla accounted for approximately 5.58% of the total population of Ajuy, which stood at 53,462 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tipacla moving from 1,645 residents to 2,983 residents, an intercensal change of +81.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Tipacla as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Ajuy is a municipality comprising 34 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tipacla, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
