Situated in Alangalang, Leyte, Barangay Divisoria is one of 54 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

This made it the 24th largest of 54 barangays in Alangalang by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Divisoria changed from 455 to 974, a shift of +114.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Alangalang. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Divisoria as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
