Barangay Mudboron

Barangay Mudboron is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Alangalang, located in the province of Leyte, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Mudboron had a population of 2,533. This made it the 2nd largest of 54 barangays in Alangalang by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Mudboron accounted for approximately 4.43% of the total population of Alangalang, which stood at 57,185 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Mudboron moving from 2,313 residents to 2,533 residents, an intercensal change of +9.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Mudboron as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Alangalang is a municipality comprising 54 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Mudboron, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
