Barangay San Mateo

Barangay San Mateo forms part of Aleosan, a municipality in Cotabato, and is classified as a large barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Mateo had a population of 5,632. This made it the 1st largest of 19 barangays in Aleosan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Mateo accounted for approximately 13.43% of the total population of Aleosan, which stood at 41,944 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay San Mateo moving from 4,739 residents to 5,632 residents, an intercensal change of +18.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
