Barangay Santa Teresa

Barangay Santa Teresa is a small barangay in the municipality of Alfonso, located in the province of Cavite, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Santa Teresa had a population of 1,341. This made it the 25th largest of 32 barangays in Alfonso by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Santa Teresa accounted for approximately 2.26% of the total population of Alfonso, which stood at 59,306 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Santa Teresa changed from 1,314 to 1,341, a shift of +2.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Alfonso. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Santa Teresa as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Alfonso is a municipality comprising 32 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Santa Teresa, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
