Barangay Macabucod

Barangay Macabucod is a small barangay in the municipality of Aliaga, located in the province of Nueva Ecija, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Macabucod had a population of 1,679. This made it the 19th largest of 26 barangays in Aliaga by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Macabucod accounted for approximately 2.39% of the total population of Aliaga, which stood at 70,363 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Macabucod moving from 1,396 residents to 1,679 residents, an intercensal change of +20.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Macabucod is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
