Situated in Alicia, Isabela, Barangay Aurora is one of 34 barangays that make up the municipality within Cagayan Valley.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Aurora had a population of 3,905. This made it the 5th largest of 34 barangays in Alicia by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Aurora accounted for approximately 5.29% of the total population of Alicia, which stood at 73,874 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 4,029 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 3,905 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -3.1%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Aurora is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Alicia is a municipality comprising 34 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Aurora, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Isabela, which contains 1,055 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Aurora ranks 56th by 2020 population.
