Barangay Imelda

Situated in Allen, Northern Samar, Barangay Imelda is one of 20 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Imelda had a population of 376. This made it the 19th largest of 20 barangays in Allen by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Imelda accounted for approximately 1.49% of the total population of Allen, which stood at 25,228 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Imelda moving from 388 residents to 376 residents, an intercensal change of -3.1%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Imelda as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Allen is a municipality comprising 20 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Imelda, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Northern Samar, which contains 569 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Imelda ranks 488th by 2020 population.
