Barangay Talaba

Situated in Alubijid, Misamis Oriental, Barangay Talaba is one of 16 barangays that make up the municipality within Northern Mindanao.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Talaba had a population of 1,452. This made it the 13th largest of 16 barangays in Alubijid by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Talaba accounted for approximately 4.51% of the total population of Alubijid, which stood at 32,163 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Talaba moving from 1,294 residents to 1,452 residents, an intercensal change of +12.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Talaba is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Alubijid is a municipality comprising 16 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Talaba, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
