Barangay Jantianon

Barangay Jantianon is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Amlan, located in the province of Negros Oriental, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Jantianon had a population of 2,893. This made it the 5th largest of 8 barangays in Amlan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Jantianon accounted for approximately 11.34% of the total population of Amlan, which stood at 25,513 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,993 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,893 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -3.3%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Jantianon as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
