Barangay Canangan

Situated in Angadanan, Isabela, Barangay Canangan is one of 59 barangays that make up the municipality within Cagayan Valley.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Canangan had a population of 668. This made it the 25th largest of 59 barangays in Angadanan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Canangan accounted for approximately 1.49% of the total population of Angadanan, which stood at 44,977 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Canangan changed from 706 to 668, a shift of -5.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Angadanan. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Canangan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
