This made it the 5th largest of 59 barangays in Angadanan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Dalenat accounted for approximately 3.32% of the total population of Angadanan, which stood at 44,977 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Dalenat changed from 1,513 to 1,495, a shift of -1.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with broadly stable populations in Angadanan. Barangay Dalenat is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
