Barangay Lacquios

Barangay Lacquios is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Arayat, located in the province of Pampanga, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Lacquios had a population of 3,736. This made it the 19th largest of 30 barangays in Arayat by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lacquios accounted for approximately 2.58% of the total population of Arayat, which stood at 144,875 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Lacquios moving from 3,698 residents to 3,736 residents, an intercensal change of +1.0%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Lacquios as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Arayat is a municipality comprising 30 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Lacquios, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
