Barangay Balaas

Barangay Balaas is a small barangay in the municipality of Argao, located in the province of Cebu, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Balaas had a population of 892. This made it the 34th largest of 45 barangays in Argao by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Balaas accounted for approximately 1.14% of the total population of Argao, which stood at 78,187 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Balaas moving from 789 residents to 892 residents, an intercensal change of +13.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
