Barangay Garden (Pob.)

Barangay Garden (Pob.) is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Arteche, located in the province of Eastern Samar, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Garden (Pob.) had a population of 2,270. This made it the 1st largest of 20 barangays in Arteche by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Garden (Pob.) accounted for approximately 13.88% of the total population of Arteche, which stood at 16,360 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Garden (Pob.) moving from 2,412 residents to 2,270 residents, an intercensal change of -5.9%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Garden (Pob.) as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Arteche is a municipality comprising 20 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Garden (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
