According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Angeles had a population of 2,417. This made it the 9th largest of 42 barangays in Atimonan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Angeles accounted for approximately 3.76% of the total population of Atimonan, which stood at 64,260 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Angeles changed from 2,494 to 2,417, a shift of -3.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Atimonan. Barangay Angeles is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Atimonan is a municipality comprising 42 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Angeles, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
