Barangay Tampocon II

Barangay Tampocon II is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Ayungon, located in the province of Negros Oriental, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Tampocon II had a population of 2,196. This made it the 7th largest of 24 barangays in Ayungon by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tampocon II accounted for approximately 4.66% of the total population of Ayungon, which stood at 47,102 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tampocon II moving from 2,165 residents to 2,196 residents, an intercensal change of +1.4%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Tampocon II as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
