Barangay Tibyawan

Situated in Ayungon, Negros Oriental, Barangay Tibyawan is one of 24 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Tibyawan had a population of 1,797. This made it the 13th largest of 24 barangays in Ayungon by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tibyawan accounted for approximately 3.82% of the total population of Ayungon, which stood at 47,102 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tibyawan moving from 1,808 residents to 1,797 residents, an intercensal change of -0.6%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community.
