Situated in Bacacay, Albay, Barangay Hindi is one of 56 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Hindi had a population of 4,299. This made it the 3rd largest of 56 barangays in Bacacay by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Hindi accounted for approximately 5.93% of the total population of Bacacay, which stood at 72,485 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Hindi changed from 3,800 to 4,299, a shift of +13.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Bacacay. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Hindi as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Bacacay is a municipality comprising 56 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Hindi, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Albay, which contains 720 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Hindi ranks 60th by 2020 population.
