Barangay Namanday

Barangay Namanday is a small barangay in the municipality of Bacacay, located in the province of Albay, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Namanday had a population of 1,415. This made it the 16th largest of 56 barangays in Bacacay by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Namanday accounted for approximately 1.95% of the total population of Bacacay, which stood at 72,485 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Namanday changed from 1,482 to 1,415, a shift of -4.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Bacacay. Barangay Namanday is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Bacacay is a municipality comprising 56 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Namanday, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Albay, which contains 720 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Namanday ranks 370th by 2020 population.
