Barangay San Simon II (Pob.)

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay San Simon II (Pob.) is one of the administrative divisions of Bacarra in Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Simon II (Pob.) had a population of 341. This made it the 40th largest of 43 barangays in Bacarra by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Simon II (Pob.) accounted for approximately 1.02% of the total population of Bacarra, which stood at 33,496 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 333 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 341 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +2.4%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Simon II (Pob.) as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Bacarra is a municipality comprising 43 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Simon II (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
