Situated in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Barangay Santa Rita (Pob.) is one of 43 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Santa Rita (Pob.) had a population of 1,119. This made it the 7th largest of 43 barangays in Bacarra by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Santa Rita (Pob.) accounted for approximately 3.34% of the total population of Bacarra, which stood at 33,496 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Santa Rita (Pob.) changed from 1,104 to 1,119, a shift of +1.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in Bacarra.
