Barangay Poblacion V

Situated in Balangkayan, Eastern Samar, Barangay Poblacion V is one of 15 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poblacion V had a population of 1,294. This made it the 2nd largest of 15 barangays in Balangkayan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion V accounted for approximately 12.70% of the total population of Balangkayan, which stood at 10,185 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Poblacion V changed from 1,268 to 1,294, a shift of +2.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Balangkayan.
