Situated in Baler, Aurora, Barangay Pingit is one of 13 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Luzon.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Pingit had a population of 6,563. This made it the 2nd largest of 13 barangays in Baler by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pingit accounted for approximately 14.99% of the total population of Baler, which stood at 43,785 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 5,913 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 6,563 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +11.0%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Pingit is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Baler is a municipality comprising 13 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pingit, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
