Barangay Pagsanghan

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Pagsanghan is one of the administrative divisions of Banga in Aklan, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Pagsanghan had a population of 2,041. This made it the 2nd largest of 30 barangays in Banga by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pagsanghan accounted for approximately 5.06% of the total population of Banga, which stood at 40,318 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Pagsanghan moving from 1,917 residents to 2,041 residents, an intercensal change of +6.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Pagsanghan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Banga is a municipality comprising 30 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pagsanghan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
