Barangay Tabayon

Situated in Banga, Aklan, Barangay Tabayon is one of 30 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tabayon had a population of 1,945. This made it the 4th largest of 30 barangays in Banga by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tabayon accounted for approximately 4.82% of the total population of Banga, which stood at 40,318 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tabayon moving from 1,777 residents to 1,945 residents, an intercensal change of +9.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Tabayon is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Banga is a municipality comprising 30 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tabayon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
