Barangay Cadapli

Barangay Cadapli is a small barangay in the municipality of Bangar, located in the province of La Union, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Cadapli had a population of 1,566. This made it the 5th largest of 33 barangays in Bangar by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cadapli accounted for approximately 4.12% of the total population of Bangar, which stood at 38,041 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Cadapli changed from 1,407 to 1,566, a shift of +11.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Bangar. Barangay Cadapli is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Bangar is a municipality comprising 33 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Cadapli, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of La Union, which contains 576 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Cadapli ranks 178th by 2020 population.
