This made it the 16th largest of 20 barangays in Banisilan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Puting-bato accounted for approximately 2.62% of the total population of Banisilan, which stood at 46,995 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,384 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,231 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -11.1%, consistent with a contracting settlement.
