Barangay Sulangan

Classified as a large barangay, Barangay Sulangan is one of the administrative divisions of Bantayan in Cebu, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Sulangan had a population of 6,022. This made it the 2nd largest of 25 barangays in Bantayan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sulangan accounted for approximately 6.98% of the total population of Bantayan, which stood at 86,247 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Sulangan moving from 4,925 residents to 6,022 residents, an intercensal change of +22.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Sulangan as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
