Barangay Poblacion

Barangay Poblacion is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Basista, located in the province of Pangasinan, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poblacion had a population of 3,097. This made it the 5th largest of 13 barangays in Basista by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion accounted for approximately 8.22% of the total population of Basista, which stood at 37,679 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Poblacion moving from 2,723 residents to 3,097 residents, an intercensal change of +13.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
