Barangay Bulak Norte

Situated in Batad, Iloilo, Barangay Bulak Norte is one of 24 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bulak Norte had a population of 478. This made it the 17th largest of 24 barangays in Batad by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bulak Norte accounted for approximately 2.16% of the total population of Batad, which stood at 22,157 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 430 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 478 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +11.2%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Bulak Norte is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Batad is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bulak Norte, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Iloilo, which contains 1,901 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Bulak Norte ranks 1342nd by 2020 population. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
