Barangay Paharang Kanluran

Barangay Paharang Kanluran is a small barangay in the city of Batangas City, located in the province of Batangas, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Paharang Kanluran had a population of 1,310. This made it the 67th largest of 105 barangays in Batangas City by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Paharang Kanluran accounted for approximately 0.37% of the total population of Batangas City, which stood at 351,437 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,406 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,310 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -6.8%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Paharang Kanluran as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
