Barangay Talahib Pandayan

Barangay Talahib Pandayan is a mid-sized barangay in the city of Batangas City, located in the province of Batangas, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Talahib Pandayan had a population of 2,299. This made it the 49th largest of 105 barangays in Batangas City by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Talahib Pandayan accounted for approximately 0.65% of the total population of Batangas City, which stood at 351,437 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,384 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,299 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -3.6%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Talahib Pandayan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Batangas City is a city comprising 105 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Talahib Pandayan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Batangas, which contains 1,078 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Talahib Pandayan ranks 447th by 2020 population. Batangas is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.

The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
