Barangay IV (Pob.)

Barangay IV (Pob.) forms part of Bauan, a municipality in Batangas, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay IV (Pob.) had a population of 2,619. This made it the 12th largest of 40 barangays in Bauan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay IV (Pob.) accounted for approximately 2.88% of the total population of Bauan, which stood at 90,819 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,977 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,619 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -12.0%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay IV (Pob.) as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Bauan is a municipality comprising 40 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay IV (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Batangas, which contains 1,078 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay IV (Pob.) ranks 362nd by 2020 population.
