Barangay Parian Oeste

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Parian Oeste is one of the administrative divisions of Bauang in La Union, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Parian Oeste had a population of 1,286. This made it the 25th largest of 39 barangays in Bauang by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Parian Oeste accounted for approximately 1.64% of the total population of Bauang, which stood at 78,449 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Parian Oeste changed from 1,223 to 1,286, a shift of +5.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Bauang. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Parian Oeste as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Bauang is a municipality comprising 39 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Parian Oeste, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
