Barangay Capas

Barangay Capas is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Binalonan, located in the province of Pangasinan, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Capas had a population of 2,179. This made it the 10th largest of 24 barangays in Binalonan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Capas accounted for approximately 3.86% of the total population of Binalonan, which stood at 56,382 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Capas moving from 2,163 residents to 2,179 residents, an intercensal change of +0.7%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. Barangay Capas is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
