Barangay Germinal (Pob.)

Barangay Germinal (Pob.) is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Bolinao, located in the province of Pangasinan, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Germinal (Pob.) had a population of 2,876. This made it the 14th largest of 30 barangays in Bolinao by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Germinal (Pob.) accounted for approximately 3.42% of the total population of Bolinao, which stood at 83,979 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 3,668 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,876 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -21.6%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Germinal (Pob.) as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Bolinao is a municipality comprising 30 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Germinal (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Pangasinan, which contains 1,364 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Germinal (Pob.) ranks 341st by 2020 population.
