Barangay Lower Becerril

Barangay Lower Becerril is a small barangay in the municipality of Boljoon, located in the province of Cebu, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Lower Becerril had a population of 1,563. This made it the 3rd largest of 11 barangays in Boljoon by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lower Becerril accounted for approximately 8.92% of the total population of Boljoon, which stood at 17,525 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Lower Becerril changed from 1,297 to 1,563, a shift of +20.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Boljoon. Barangay Lower Becerril is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
