Situated in Borbon, Cebu, Barangay Poblacion is one of 19 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poblacion had a population of 5,286. This made it the 1st largest of 19 barangays in Borbon by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion accounted for approximately 13.84% of the total population of Borbon, which stood at 38,187 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Poblacion moving from 5,090 residents to 5,286 residents, an intercensal change of +3.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Poblacion as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
