This made it the 5th largest of 31 barangays in Botolan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Danacbunga accounted for approximately 4.57% of the total population of Botolan, which stood at 66,739 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Danacbunga changed from 2,970 to 3,053, a shift of +2.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Botolan. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Danacbunga as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
