Barangay Madalipay

Barangay Madalipay is a very small barangay in the municipality of Bucay, located in the province of Abra, in the CAR region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Madalipay had a population of 376. This made it the 20th largest of 21 barangays in Bucay by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Madalipay accounted for approximately 2.09% of the total population of Bucay, which stood at 17,953 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Madalipay moving from 397 residents to 376 residents, an intercensal change of -5.3%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Madalipay is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
