Barangay Eastern Cabul-an

Barangay Eastern Cabul-an forms part of Buenavista, a municipality in Bohol, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Eastern Cabul-an had a population of 2,191. This made it the 1st largest of 35 barangays in Buenavista by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Eastern Cabul-an accounted for approximately 7.37% of the total population of Buenavista, which stood at 29,711 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,100 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,191 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +4.3%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Eastern Cabul-an is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Buenavista is a municipality comprising 35 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Eastern Cabul-an, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
