Barangay Ibabang Wasay

Barangay Ibabang Wasay is a small barangay in the municipality of Buenavista, located in the province of Quezon, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Ibabang Wasay had a population of 1,236. This made it the 8th largest of 37 barangays in Buenavista by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Ibabang Wasay accounted for approximately 3.97% of the total population of Buenavista, which stood at 31,160 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Ibabang Wasay changed from 911 to 1,236, a shift of +35.7% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Buenavista. Barangay Ibabang Wasay is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
