Barangay Bacabac

Situated in Bugallon, Pangasinan, Barangay Bacabac is one of 24 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Bacabac had a population of 2,330. This made it the 13th largest of 24 barangays in Bugallon by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bacabac accounted for approximately 3.11% of the total population of Bugallon, which stood at 74,962 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,105 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,330 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +10.7%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Bacabac as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Bugallon is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bacabac, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
