Barangay Taromata

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Taromata is one of the administrative divisions of Bulan in Sorsogon, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Taromata had a population of 1,537. This made it the 25th largest of 63 barangays in Bulan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Taromata accounted for approximately 1.46% of the total population of Bulan, which stood at 105,190 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Taromata moving from 1,441 residents to 1,537 residents, an intercensal change of +6.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Taromata as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
