Barangay Kagbana

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Kagbana is one of the administrative divisions of Burauen in Leyte, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Kagbana had a population of 304. This made it the 63rd largest of 77 barangays in Burauen by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Kagbana accounted for approximately 0.58% of the total population of Burauen, which stood at 52,511 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Kagbana changed from 282 to 304, a shift of +7.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Burauen. Barangay Kagbana is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Burauen is a municipality comprising 77 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Kagbana, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Leyte, which contains 1,641 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Kagbana ranks 1380th by 2020 population.
