Barangay Logsongan

Situated in Burauen, Leyte, Barangay Logsongan is one of 77 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Logsongan had a population of 289. This made it the 66th largest of 77 barangays in Burauen by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Logsongan accounted for approximately 0.55% of the total population of Burauen, which stood at 52,511 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Logsongan changed from 427 to 289, a shift of -32.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Burauen. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Logsongan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Burauen is a municipality comprising 77 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Logsongan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Leyte, which contains 1,641 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Logsongan ranks 1391st by 2020 population.
