Barangay Villa Corazon

Barangay Villa Corazon is a small barangay in the municipality of Burauen, located in the province of Leyte, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Villa Corazon had a population of 512. This made it the 41st largest of 77 barangays in Burauen by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Villa Corazon accounted for approximately 0.98% of the total population of Burauen, which stood at 52,511 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Villa Corazon changed from 492 to 512, a shift of +4.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Burauen. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Villa Corazon as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Burauen is a municipality comprising 77 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Villa Corazon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
