Barangay Bobon

Situated in Burgos, Ilocos Norte, Barangay Bobon is one of 11 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bobon had a population of 1,482. This made it the 2nd largest of 11 barangays in Burgos by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bobon accounted for approximately 13.77% of the total population of Burgos, which stood at 10,759 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Bobon changed from 1,371 to 1,482, a shift of +8.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Burgos. Barangay Bobon is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Burgos is a municipality comprising 11 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bobon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
